The wanderlust charango
The Wanderlust Charango is an intercultural music exchange project that weaves together the spirit of travel, music, and community where the charango—a traditional instrument from the Andean mountains of South America—becomes the guide. As I travel to different countries, I immerse myself in their daily life composing and performing original pieces on the charango that are inspired by the local music, landscapes, and culture.
Through travels to places like Georgia, Turkey, Egypt, Portugal, and Colombia, I have created music that reflects the connection I develop with each destination. These experiences are documented in video, with music performances shared on a dedicated YouTube channel.
Beyond the music, the project fosters meaningful cultural exchange by engaging with local communities in each place I visit. Through collaborative projects we celebrate the essence of wanderlust, cultural exchange, and human connection.
